 Mentoring Program

The PMICFC is currently looking to re-launch the Mentor Program in a method which would be most conducive to our members and provide a platform for career and leadership development.

PMICFC will facilitate, organize, administer, and regulate a Mentoring Program for members of the Chapter. The program will set up one-to-one relationships between mentors and mentees based on a series of selection criteria. Both mentors and mentees will be required to attend initial leadership training sessions. Each Mentor/Mentee pair will meet for a minimum of one hour per month over twelve months. Meetings may be face-to-face (preferred) or by telephone.

Requirements
The required training for all Mentors will be held at the The required training for all Mentors will be held at the University of Phoenix on Wednesday, November 4th from 6:00–9:00 pm and on Thursday, November 18th from 6:00–9:00 pm. You must attend both sessions to receive 6 PDUs and participate as a Mentor. You must be a PMICFC member in good standing and commit to a minimum of 1 hour per month in 2010. You should have some real world PM experience to pass on to a Mentee. A Mentor does not have to be a PMP, but possibly working towards certification would be beneficial. The training is being facilitated by Kathy Thomas, a local leadership coach who brings a master’s degree in organizational leadership and over 30 years of experience in education, business, and nonprofit sectors including relating cross-culturally with international government and non-government organizations. Please email Randy Daigle at dirmentoring2009@pmicfc.org to register. Registration closes on Friday, October 30th. When you register you are registering for both sessions.
