The President's Letter—July/August, 2010

Dear Members,

President's PictureJuly is almost over and it is hard to believe that half of the year is already behind us. At our chapter, it has been a busy six months. We have had a number of successful events. Just to name a few:

  • PMP and PgMP Prep Classes
  • Bi-Monthly Dinners
  • SeminarsWorld
  • Event Speakers
  • Career Panel

The board continues to look for opportunities to provide value to our member base. We have successfully completed the leadership transition and continue to bring up to speed new volunteers.

As chapter President, I want to take the opportunity to thank the Officers and Directors for all their hard work. We live busy lives. All of us have jobs, families and hobbies that demand our time and attention. At the end of the day what makes this chapter successful is the level of commitment that each person puts into the chapter’s activities. I am particularly thankful to those involved in the planning and coordination of the chapter’s events. We have a terrific team that devotes lots of time taking care of all the details.

Also, I would be remissive if I did not acknowledge the hard work that goes into handling all the electronic communications for our chapter. Events Notification, Newsletters, Website updates and e-mails demand lots of time and attention. Many thanks to those involved.

Lastly, I would like to welcome the new Directors and volunteers. Our current events and projects we are working on for the future (Job Post, Surveys and Member Relations) would not be possible without your direct involvement. We still have a number of positions available. I would encourage YOU to participate. Come be part of a winning team. This is a truly rewarding experience that impacts the lives of many in our community. I am very optimistic about our future and our ability to do even greater things. GO PMICFC, GO TEAM!

Thanks.
